UCI MTB Worldcup Lenzerheide – Never give up!

Wow, what a weekend! The mood, the people, the atmosphere has been absolutely amazing. World Champs last year was the best thing that could happen to our sport and to the worldcup in Lenzerheide.

After the worldcup in Val di Sole, I went in straight direction to Lenzerheide. I spent the whole week up there and really enjoyed the «worldcup-feeling» once more. This has been the last worldcup this season for me. My motivation at the moment is so high. I have a lot of energy and power during training that I sometimes get surprised by myself. Good for my heart as well for my soul. That is how it makes fun to train. That is how it makes fun to ride bikes. So for the last worldcup this season my motivation obviously has been pretty high. The preparation was good, I managed all technical obstacles on the track quite good and I was ready to suffer. On Sunday morning at 09:00 the time has come. After a moderate start, I was able to ride a constant pace. The lap times have been very regular. I still had some energy left in the end and rode the 17th fastest lap time. I crossed the finishline as 22nd. The result is pretty ok but not what I had in my mind at the beginning of the season. It is hard not reaching your goals especially when you are a goal-oriented and ambitious personality. But I know where I want to go along and that my dreams get reality one day. «Never give up», that is what Jenny Rissveds said, after her victory in Lenzerheide. Next race will be Muttenz (Proffix Swiss Bike Cup) and next week I will compete together with Chrystelle Baumann at the Swiss Epic. So we are not finish yet!
