Proffix Swiss Bike Cup – Solothurn

Many fascinated cyclists, a large and varied exhibition of the latest bicycle market products, sunny weather and the entertaining of dirt jump, flatland and trial competitions. The Bike Days in Solothurn are every year absolutely a visit worth. On Saturday, the cross-country elite women race started at 13.30 pm. The racetrack contains two long road sections, one climb and one descent in the woods. The start was not as good as usual. I invested a lot of power in the beginning. Finally, I always drove in a group of 2 – 4 riders. Although this has been a very long race, I was able to keep my pace relatively constant during these 6 laps. Only in lap 4 I had a drop in performance. After 1h 49min, I sprinted towards the finish line. With the starting number 23, I finally finished 23rd in the elite women category and 8th in U23. The ranking is a secondary issue and certainly not the result that makes me totally happy and satisfied. More important for me right now is that my body allows me to suffer and push limits. Again, I felt pain in my back, but it did not affect me as much as in other races. Soon we move out to the 2nd UCI MTB World Cup in Albstadt (DE). Recover, prepare and get fit again!
