Proffix Swiss Bike Cup – Muttenz

I had a really special but exciting week. On Monday morning I came back from Canada. On Tuesday I worked in the office, on Wednesday I went to school and from Thursday to Saturday I spent great days at the Openair Gampel. It felt so good to get a free head and new energy back after all the races, trips and activities. On Sunday at 12:00, I finally stood at the start line of the racetrack in Muttenz, Basel and waited until we started. The race began. First we made one round on the horse racetrack before going on the road in direction of the forest. The only longer climb is very steep and hard. I felt very good physically as well as mentally and could ride a constant pace. In the uphill I could push and I also enjoyed the following downhill with the numerous banked curves. Then we followed a long, flat passage through the forest. Finally we came back into the horse racetrack and had to handle some small technical section like the pump track, the stone-garden or the mini jump. In the last round I mobilized my last power and reached the finish line finally on rank 23 elite women and rank 4 U23 women. Now I am already preparing for the next and last UCI MTB World Cup this year in Val di Sole (IT).
